Roleplay Rust servers
The shelf for roleplay: servers where players run characters, towns and shops instead of pure survival. Every server here either carries the roleplay tag or says the word in its name. Player counts, next wipe and rates sit on each label, so you know what is inside the box before you grab it. Stock updates every five minutes.
Check the Next wipe column first, because a roleplay world dies when the wipe lands. Most of these servers wipe monthly, but plenty follow the force wipe schedule instead, so the date on the label is the one that counts. Gather rates are usually 1x unless the name says 2x or 5x. Group limits often sit at the default, and smaller caps are common, so read the label before you pick your plot. Server flags separate the PvE-heavy shelves from the ones that still allow fights. If your evening does not match the peak, the busiest few servers hold most of the players at any hour, so start there and hop down the list.
Questions
What makes a Rust server a roleplay server?
It builds rules and stories on top of normal Rust. Players take characters, run shops or factions, and public chat usually stays in character. Killing on sight is normally banned outside agreed zones. Admins enforce this with plugins and moderation, and most of these servers are modded.
Do roleplay servers have PvP?
Some do, most do not. A large share of the servers here carry the PvE flag, so fights between players are restricted. Others set aside zones or hours where combat is allowed. The server's own rules tell you which, and the flag on the label is only a summary.
How do I get onto a roleplay server?
Find the server in the in-game browser and connect. Many ask you to read the rules and join their Discord first, and some use a whitelist or a short character form. The server page and its Discord explain the entry step. Nothing here is priced or promised, so check the rules before you commit.
Why do so many roleplay servers wipe monthly?
Stories and towns need a fresh map now and then, and a monthly reset clears built-up clutter. Some servers instead follow the force wipe that arrives with game updates. The Next wipe column on each label shows the date that server actually uses. Sort by it to land close to a fresh start.
A roleplay server without the tag will not show up here, so the shelf is not everything the scene has, just the ones that label themselves. The table opens sorted by players right now. Re-sort by Last wipe when you want ground that has just reset, or by Rank to see the regulars' picks. Filters for region, group size and rates live on the full server list. If you would rather skip the rules and stories, the PvE shelves carry servers that only limit player combat.
