Community Rust servers in stock
This shelf holds Community servers only: player-run, unmodded and not official. Aim training, build, creative, battlefield, minigames and battle royale are taken off the shelf, so what is left is survival Rust with the owner's own wipe days and team limits. Stock refreshes every five minutes.
Community servers cannot change gather rates, loot or stack sizes without moving to the Modded tab. That is why the rates column looks plain here. Team limits are the owner's call: 8 is the default, and smaller limits are usually written in the name or the tags. Regions are worth a look before you commit, since a busy EU server plays at odd hours from Australia. Wipe habits are the other label to read. Some publish a schedule, some do not, and every server still wipes at the monthly force update. If a shelf item looks empty, it may just be between wipes.
Questions
How is a community server different from a modded one?
Community servers sit in Rust's Community tab and keep core gameplay unchanged, so gather rates, loot and stack sizes stay vanilla. Modded servers declare those changes in the Modded tab. A community server may still run small quality-of-life plugins that do not touch core mechanics.
Are community servers official Rust servers?
No. Official servers are run by Facepunch and appear in their own tab. Community servers are owned and paid for by players or groups, who set their own rules, admins, team limits and wipe days. They still follow the same monthly force wipe.
What does the group limit column mean here?
It shows the largest team the server allows. When the limit is below 8, the column shows solo, duo, trio or quad as a label. A blank entry means the limit is 8 or more, which is Rust's default.
When do community servers wipe?
Each owner chooses their own schedule, and many do not publish one. The next wipe column estimates from past wipes on that server. Every server, community included, also wipes at the monthly force update on the first Thursday of the month.
The table sorts by live players first, so the top row is whoever is busiest this minute, not a long-term home. Sort by rank for servers that hold a crowd across the week. Empty servers sit lower, and some stay empty until their next wipe. Want the official ones too? Try the vanilla list. For fewer filters and the full shop, browse every Rust server.
