Group limit three means exactly what it says on the label: a team of three is the maximum. If you play with more, the server will not let you group up. Wipe day matters here. Most trio servers wipe weekly or monthly, and joining just before a wipe leaves you farming for nothing. Sort by next wipe to see which ones reset soonest. The name usually shows the rate: no rate means 1x, and the rest are mostly 2x, 3x or 5x. Region codes in the name tell you where the server sits, so you can pick one that matches your play hours.

What is a trio Rust server?

It is a server where the owner has capped the team size at three players. You cannot form a larger group, so raids stay small and manageable. That cap is a server setting, not a Facepunch rule.

Do trio servers wipe blueprints?

Some do, some do not. Facepunch's force wipe resets the map on the first Thursday of each month, but blueprints are decided by each server. Check the server's page for its wipe history and settings before you commit to a long wipe.

Are trio servers less competitive than official servers?

Often, because you will not meet ten-player clans. But the busiest trio servers still attract organised teams who run monuments all day. Competitiveness depends on the server's population and rules as much as the team cap.

How do I choose a good trio server?

Start with the table above. Sort by players to see where the action is right now, then check the wipe columns so you do not join just before a reset. The group column should read trio. The search box can narrow by name, but for region and schedule filters use the full server list.
